Mood Make-Over: From Domestic Clutter to Cosmetic Surgery

Article by Charlie Board

A recent study conducted by psychologists at the University of California found that there really is a formula for happiness. 10% is affected by circumstance, 50% by genes, and an enormous 40% by chosen personal behaviour (e.g. complaining about the rain spoiling an afternoon of outside sports (circumstance) and so seeking another pleasurable activity (personal chosen behaviour)

Environment A change in environment could help to order the mind, promote restful sleep and alleviate anxious tendencies. De-cluttering the home is a great place to start. Piles of junk, undone administration, unread books and dirty dishes can make a person feel like a failure (e.g. surrounded by all the tasks they’re half-done) Sometimes a simple de-clutter can brighten the murkiest mood and kick-start some much-needed motivation.

Body Endless weight-loss articles, speedy beauty tips and quick-fix hair loss remedies can actually make the impossible goal of being friends with the mirror feel more unattainable than ever. Take time to identify, study, and either accept or seek out a treatment for perceived flaws. Time spent fixating but never fixing is wasted time.

A great example is dental issues, which often hover near the bottom of the savings list due to costly UK procedures, but is it really necessary? Cosmetic tourism (e.g. dental treatment abroad or cosmetic surgery abroad) is booming amongst UK clients, with destinations such as Korea and Turkey claiming top spots. Similarly, making the leap from obsessively loathing a body part to seeking cosmetic surgery abroad to rectify perceived imperfections can seem daunting, but more daunting than a lifetime of minutes spent regretfully in front of the mirror?

Improving cosmetic appearance through surgery, weight-loss, or perhaps just a new haircut, could be an invaluable springboard to making greater life changes.

Changing the drapes, investing in cosmetic dentistry abroad, taking up bird watching or learning Spanish – make the most of that 40%!

Cosmetic Surgery Claims question by Carolina C: how is it possible for celebrities to pose in bikinis after babies?
Are you sick and tired of seeing unrealistic covers featuring celebs in bikinis weeks after the birth of their babies? There are no stretchmarks and so many of them look better than before they were even pregnant. If they claim not to be photoshopped how is this possible?! It is no wonder young females struggle with this type of stuff. I think it is fine as long as they post a disclaimer such as: was photoshopped. Or celebrity underwent cosmetic surgery to attain these results.

Breast Augmentation: Reasons to Choose This Cosmetic Surgery Procedure

Article by Anna Woodward

It’s the most popular form of elective cosmetic surgery in the entire world. Every year, thousands of women in a variety of countries choose plastic surgery to increase the size of their breasts. From celebrities to professionals, many women find breast augmentation to be an important and viable plastic surgery option and are willing to expose themselves to the inherent risks and possible side effects from an invasive elective procedure. Why do women choose to pay so much money for this service? And is it worth the risks?

Self-esteem: The ideal patient for breast augmentation surgery is a woman with healthy self-esteem and a realistic self-image. However, many women have altered views of their body and believe they are significantly lacking feminine mystique if their breast size is smaller than what society deems beautiful. As such, a handful of women that seek out this type of elective cosmetic surgery are suffering from low self-esteem and believe it will help them look more beautiful to men and women around them.

Husband or lover: Some women have a healthy self-esteem and are fully pleased with the body that they are naturally blessed with, but choose to undergo breast augmentation to please or surprise a husband or lover. These women are often in stable, long-term relationships and want to add a little spice to the bedroom. Surprising your husband of many years with this type of elective cosmetic surgery is likely to bring a smile to his face. He will always claim he loved you just the way you were, but that this improvement is not unwelcome!

Career: There are a few women that choose plastic surgery in order to augment their profession or career. Dancers, waitresses, models, and actresses often find and keep work based on their appearance. These women invest in their careers and their professional futures by improving their appearance. This can also include a wide variety of elective cosmetic procedures from facelifts and chemical peels to liposuction or tummy tucks.

Mastectomy: It is exceedingly unfortunate that breast cancer is so common. Many of us know a mother or sister or aunt or friend that has struggled with this horrible disease and successfully beat the odds. Radical and invasive therapies such as mastectomies that remove the entire breast and all breast tissue can be devastating for an ill woman that suddenly loses her sense of being female. Plastic surgeons are able to help cancer survivors by reinstating the ultimate symbol of femininity with a single or bilateral breast augmentation.

Contact a plastic surgeon in your area today to determine if breast augmentation plastic surgery is right for you. He or she should be able to address all of your concerns and questions and help you consider the pros and cons of such an invasive procedure. There are a variety of risk factors to keep in mind when making this decision. However, many women choose to have this surgery and are happy with the results for years to come.

Cosmetic Surgery Claims question by xoxohthdotcom: How do I sue a Doctor for LYING and DECEIVING Patients in NYC?
I had cosmetic surgery where the doctor showed me BEFORE and AFTER photos. Also on his website are these photos. He also has tons of positive reviews. HOWEVER, all these before and after photos are NOT his but he stole these photos and claimed them as his. Also these reviews are also posted by him as “patients.” He has no experience in this type of cosmetic surgery yet TRICKED me that he was highly qualified and left me disfigured.

How to Claim in a Cosmetic Surgery Negligence Case

Article by Tim Bishop

Cosmetic surgery can have a major positive effect on many people’s lives. This is however when it is done by a professional whom is competent in the procedure that they are delivering.

BAAPS (Bristish Association of Aesthetics Plastic Surgeons) have tried to put the word out there for patients to research their plastic surgery procedure fully before going ahead with it. Health risks and medical negligence are potential factors to bear in mind and they can happen under the most experienced and skilled hands. The last thing you want is to have your surgery and find yourself consulting a medical negligence lawyer afterwards.

So, an injection of Botox in the forehead muscles pulls up drooping brows and eyelids, but if the injection hits the wrong muscle it pulls the brow down. Similarly, encapsulation occurs in around 10% of breast enhancement cases and can be higher in cases of medical negligence.

Nevertheless, every person is different and they might react differently to procedures.

The majority of cosmetic surgeries carried out in the UK are successful and have a positive outcome. It is reassuring to know that a specialist medical negligence solicitor can help if something goes wrong.

It is sometimes a good idea post surgery to wait until you have healed fully before assessing the results. When this time period passes and you still feel like you have a valid complaint to make you should get in touch with the surgery or hospital. What happens if there is an unresolved medical negligence incident? Approach the Healthcare Commission who will take action against the health organisation who are dropping below the required standards. They could point you in the direction of a medical negligence solicitor.

Supposing your clinic is not registered with the Healthcare Commission? If you have a specific complaint about a doctor then take this to the Complaints Adjudication Service or the General Medical Council. Need more independent advice? The General Medical Council is also there to help.

Compensation claims that arise from having cosmetic surgery can be extremely complex and you will need to the advice of a specialised medical negligence compensation solicitor. The crucial thing not to do is rush, take things slowely and challenge anything you are unsure about. Consider cosmetic surgery as you would any other surgery, and think through the effect it might have on your body.

When the surgery is performed to correct professional standard, the effect can be positive and satisfying.

Cosmetic Surgery Claims question by Mel: I’m planning to take client to small claims for non payment goods/services.Should I go beyond that?
The client is the president of the homeowners association. He has owed over $ 2000 for over a year now.He thinks that he makes the rules and doesn’t have to pay people he owes.
I know his type he won’t pay once the judgment is made in my favor (and it is clearly going to happen that way) there is a clear contract in place that spells it all out.

Small claims cannot enforce Collection and will only allow me to put a lien on his property ,but it could take years before I am paid.

He has several companies in the area I had thought of making complaints that the owner of the companies does not pay his debt, writing to the homeowners association that he is president of to bring it to their attention, and finally contacting the building dept.that he went around permitting his latest project correctly.

The guy acts like he’ll give me options…when he is the one owing the money. He certainly had enough to pay for his cosmetic surgery and cosmetic dentistry… should I do more before I take this to small claims court to get my money?

Any other in genius ideas to get my money?

First of all, be VERY careful who you inform about the debt, since revealing it, if it causes him to lose business, could be something he could sue you over. Ditto for complaining to the homeowner’s association. Unless having judgments against him is contrary to HOA rules, it is irrelevant to his position there.

The building department will only tell you whether he has outstanding permits, they will not know what he has NOT done.

None of those things will get you paid. In fact, most of them will just make you look like a vindictive person, and he will be LESS likely to pay. You also risk a lawsuit if you accidentally step over the line.

Put the lien on his property, if that is all the small claims court will allow, or contact a collection agency.
